Level detectors and controllers in silos and hoppers
We supply controllers designed to work in milling industry silos and hoppers, where level detection determines the flow and continuity of the process.
Our FDF rotary controllers operate via a motor-driven paddle. When the material blocks the rotation, the equipment detects the level. This system works with products such as flours, granulates, or powders, in density ranges from 0.01 to 2 t/m³, without requiring adjustment for variations in moisture or grain size. It allows for lateral or vertical mounting and supports extensions of up to 10 meters.
We complete the range with pressure and displacement systems, adjusted to different material behaviors. These solutions allow for the detection of maximum or minimum levels in products with different densities and grain sizes, maintaining reliability under continuous working conditions.
We design ATEX zone-compliant systems with certified materials for food industry contact, ensuring compliance in environments with dust explosion risk or sanitary requirements.
Plant process supervision and control
We integrate supervision systems to control critical parameters in milling industry processes, where continuity depends on the status of transport and storage equipment.
At Balaguer Components, we work with bearing temperature sensors based on direct measurement, belt misalignment systems using inductive detection, and speed control via shaft-mounted sensors. These devices allow for the monitoring of the actual operation of elevators, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.

Diaphragm
Detection by direct material pressure on a flexible surface that activates a switch. Suitable for powdery and granulated products with densities between 0.3 and 2.5 t/m³.
Capacitive
Detection via electrical capacitance variation upon contact with the material. Allows for high, low, or blockage level control in fine products, without interference from dust accumulation.
Tilt
Detection by mechanical displacement upon contact with the material. Works with bulk products with particle sizes up to 100 mm and densities between 0.3 and 3 t/m³.
